How TrustHaven Helps You

From turning 65 to switching plans to losing employer coverage — I guide you through every Medicare moment, free of charge.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

All-in-one plans that combine Parts A, B, and usually D. I compare options across major carriers so you know exactly what you're getting before you enroll.

🛡️

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Cover the gaps Original Medicare leaves behind — deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. I'll show you which lettered plan fits your budget and health needs.

💊

Part D Prescription Drug Plans

Prescription costs vary dramatically between plans. I run your specific medications through available formularies to find your best option.

🎂

Turning 65 — First-Time Medicare

Don't miss your enrollment window. I walk you through every step of your Initial Enrollment Period and make sure you avoid costly late-enrollment penalties.

💼

Retiring & Losing Employer Coverage

Transitioning off employer or union coverage triggers a Special Enrollment Period. Timing matters — let's make sure you're protected without a gap.

🔄

Annual Plan Reviews

Plans change every year. I review your coverage each fall before AEP to make sure your plan still fits — or find you something better if it doesn't.

Medicare Questions, Answered

These are the questions I hear most often. Don't see yours? Just ask.

What's the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?
Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare and typically bundles in Part D drug coverage, often with lower premiums but network restrictions. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare to cover gaps like copays and deductibles, giving you more flexibility with providers but generally higher premiums. The right choice depends on your health needs, budget, and preferred doctors — and that's exactly what I help you figure out.
Does it cost anything to use a Medicare broker?
No — working with TrustHaven Insurance Agency is completely free to you. Insurance carriers pay licensed agents a commission directly. Your premium is identical whether you enroll through a broker or go directly to the insurance company. You get a knowledgeable advocate at no extra cost.
When can I sign up for Medicare?
Most people first become eligible at 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period runs for 7 months — 3 months before your 65th birthday month, your birthday month itself, and 3 months after. Missing this window without qualifying coverage can result in permanent late-enrollment penalties. If you're still covered under employer insurance, you may have a Special Enrollment Period when that coverage ends. Call me before you retire — timing matters.
Can you help me even if I don't live in Lee County or Southwest Florida?
Absolutely. While my local expertise is deepest in North Fort Myers, Fort Myers, and Cape Coral, TrustHaven works with Medicare beneficiaries across the country. We do phone and video consultations, so distance is never a barrier. Whether you're a snowbird, recently relocated, or helping a parent in another state, I can help you navigate your options.
What is the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)?
The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7 each year. During this window, you can switch Medicare Advantage plans, move between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage, or change your Part D drug plan. Changes take effect January 1. I reach out to all my existing clients every fall to review their coverage — but if you're new and want a review, just get in touch before AEP begins.
Will my doctor be covered under the plan you recommend?
That's one of the first things I check. Before recommending any Medicare Advantage plan, I verify your current physicians are in-network. For Medicare Supplement plans, you can see any provider nationwide who accepts Medicare — which is most doctors. I never recommend a plan without knowing whether your care team is covered.
